Transitional Bathroom Design Project
in Burbank, CA.

A Burbank bathroom design built around natural wood cabinetry, teal scallop tile, marble-look surfaces, open shelving, and a balanced material palette that brings warmth, color, and everyday function together.

Project Overview

Warm Natural Materials,
Balanced With Color.

This Burbank bathroom was designed around a warm transitional palette combining natural wood cabinetry, teal scallop tile, marble-look surfaces, light flooring, and quieter neutral finishes.

The teal tile gives the bathroom personality without taking over the smaller space. Natural wood, open shelving, the glass shower enclosure, and lighter surrounding finishes balance the stronger color and keep the room feeling bright, functional, and visually composed.

Design Notes

Color With
Natural Warmth.

The teal scallop tile gives this Burbank bathroom its strongest visual identity, introducing color, pattern, and movement without covering every surface. Natural wood cabinetry and shelving soften the cooler tile and add warmth and texture to the room.

Light flooring, neutral walls, marble-look surfaces, glass, and clean lighting create a quieter backdrop around those stronger materials. The result is a bathroom with personality that still feels bright, balanced, and comfortable for everyday use.

Design Details

The Details That
Shape the Bathroom.

01

Teal Scallop Tile

Curved teal tile introduces color, pattern, and movement around the vanity while creating the defining focal point of the bathroom.

02

Warm Wood Vanity

Natural wood cabinetry adds warmth and texture while providing practical storage and balancing the cooler tone of the teal tile.

03

Marble-Look Countertop

The light marble-look surface brightens the vanity area and creates a refined transition between the natural wood cabinetry and patterned backsplash.

04

Open Wood Shelving

Floating wood shelves repeat the tone of the vanity while adding accessible storage and another warm, custom detail to the room.

05

Glass Shower

Marble-look shower walls and a clear glass enclosure keep the bathing area visually open while carrying the lighter material palette across the room.

06

Light & Neutral Finishes

Light flooring, neutral walls, recessed lighting, and the vanity sconce create a calm backdrop that allows the teal tile and natural wood to remain the focal materials.
